Goal: Visit All Michigan State Parks

I recently posted a list of 5 State Parks I really want to visit and that got me thinking about how cool it would be to be able to say I'd visited all of the State Parks in Michigan. While this might not be that feasible, I'm willing to try. Below is a list of all the State Parks in Michigan and next to them are the links to the blog post(s) about them.

Bathroom Inspo

When Beard and I were dating he bought a driftwood sailboat from Goodwill. Fast forward 4-ish years, and that little sailboat is sitting in the back of the toilet in our only bathroom. Sadly, I haven't done much of anything, when it comes to decorating, to the bathroom. Since we're renters, we can't paint or put holes in the walls, which rules out a lot of ideas. But I recently realized just how lame our bathroom actually is and decided a change needed to happen.

A coastal theme wouldn't be my first choice, but Beard really likes the idea (and his sailboat), so I looked into putting my spin on it.

The most important thing to me as I started brainstorming this room was keeping it inexpensive. Beard and I are saving up for a house, so I knew I couldn't spend a lot on this room - especially if I want to do some work to other rooms, too. I settled on a basic budget of $25.

Right now, my main concerns are getting some art up on the walls to make the room look a little more homey, so I think that's where most of the money will go. Almost everything will be a DIY of some sort except things like buying a new shower curtain (RIP the boho one I bought from World Market.) The bathroom doesn't have a window, so I want to keep things light and fresh. I'm hoping to incorporate some driftwood Beard and I have had for a long time into a simple gallery wall.

Other than that, I'm not sure what we'll do. The items above remind me of textures or colors I want to incorporate, but not necessarily items I'm planning on purchasing. I would love some greenery, possibly shells, linens and some rope/wicker textures.

As of right now, this inspo board is square #1. I'm excited to see how this room turns out!

5 Things

Here's a list of 5 things I'm digging this week.

1. Don't mind me, I'm just in the kitchen making this.
2. Once again, Elise is setting the bar high for my summer goals.
3. I mean, who doesn't want a Pineapple Cutting Board?
4. I'm excited to get a gallery wall up in the living room, but I'm overwhelmed.
5. Season 3 of Bitten sucked me in and I hate to love it.

What about you guys? Any fun things from this week or exciting weekend plans?
