Traverse City Camping Trip

This is part 1 of a series. See other posts below:

This past weekend Beard and I, along with a group of friends, headed up to Traverse City for the weekend. We've had a block of camping sites reserved at the state park for awhile and I had been counting down the days for a couple months.

Our first night up there we went to the beach right across the street from the camp ground and enjoyed a late night bonfire once the sun set.

The next day (after visiting a few breweries - post are coming later this week), we hit up Pirates Cove to do a little putt putt. It's a tradition for us to visit this course every time we're in town. Since I have a hashtag for everything you can follow the Cotton putt putt adventures here, if you like.

Shout out to my wonderful Beard for buying me a hammock just in time for the weekend! It was fun being able to nap in this bad boy all weekend.

Beard caught a few rays and z's at the same time...

And Joe and Heidi had one, too!

After breakfast on Sunday we packed up and decided to make one last stop before heading out of town! Right Brain Brewery, here we come!

Speaking of traditions - Beard and I always stop at this pull off to stretch our legs when we're on our way home from up north...

It was fun being able to show Joe and Heidi this little place.

There will be several more parts to this trip coming up this week, so stay tuned!
