Feather Wedding Favors + Yay! We Shot A Wedding!

As some may know I am a wedding photographer and you will sometimes find This Nifty Earth product in my wedding photos!
I recently shot a wedding, with Margeaux by my side as my second shooter. The wedding theme was a peacock theme. About a month before the wedding the bride contacted me about designing some peacock themed tags for their favors. I was so excited to design these for her! She and I went back and forth in conversation until she was completely satisfied with my design!
She knew what text she wanted when she first made the request and she knew she wanted peacock feathers on these circle tags.
We both in end were very happy with the turn out! And even more excited to see how she used them in the end!
LOVE LOVE LOVE these so much!!
We always love custom ideas that people bring to us and love even more that we get to photograph them in use!
It ended up being a gorgeous day for wedding on the USS LST 393! The location couldn't have been more beautiful!!
Here are some snapshots of the day done by myself and Margeaux as my second shooter!
Let us know if you are interested in creating some custom tags with us or if you are interested in chatting more about having us be a part of capturing your big day!

Painted Mason Jar Succulects

You were warned, so I don't feel bad! Yes! This is my second fake succulent DIY in 2 weeks. #sorrynotsorry

You will need:
-Mason Jar
-Fake Succulent (I got mine at the Dollar Store!)
-Foam Brush
-Craft Paint
-Butter Knife (optional)

Start by painting your Mason Jar in the color you choose. I did several coats to get good coverage on this one, but you can get almost a distressed look with fewer coats.

Using the butter knife, carefully cut around the succulent and remove from it's plastic potter.

Once the Mason Jar is dry, pop the succulent in and BAM! Instant cuteness!

I love how this 'lil guy turned out and it's perfect for a simple gift, or to display on my book shelf! What would you guys do with this simple DIY?

Similar to last time, I've put together this cute step-by-step for you! Go ahead and share on social media to your hearts content! Make sure to share your creations with us using #niftycrafts!
