Traverse City State Park

This is part one in a three part series of Beard and I's trip to Traverse City over my birthday weekend. You can read the other two installments here: two & three
After Beard and I went to the Third Eye Blind concert we packed up the camper for our inaugural camping trip as a married couple! It was also the first time we've taken out the camper since we bought it. Setting it up was a little stressful, simply because it was the first time - but once we got the hang of it, it was smooth sailing.

The awesome thing about this camp ground is that it's right next store to the beach. We walked across the street to throw a frisbee around, but ended up watching the sunset, too.

Our camper isn't anything to write home about, but man do I love it. I grew up camping in tents and the family pop up so I love being in ours. It really takes me back, you know? Now we just need to get some bikes so we can tool around the campground like all the cool kids.

On our way out of town we stopped by Old Mission Point, which is where we got engaged, to check it out. The was a lot more water this time than the last time (you can see those photos here) and it was a little odd. Still beautiful, though!

Bottom line? We love Traverse City and will probably go there every year. It's fun that this is where we got engaged, and we really enjoy the city in general.
