Valentines Day Straws

I have a fun & quick Valentines Day DIY today! It's simple, but will add a fun element to your Valentines Day table setting.

You Will Need:

Foam Adhesive Hearts
Red Striped Paper Straws

All you need to do it remove the strip on the back of the adhesive and stick the heart to the straw. Fill the Mason Jar with your favorite drink and set your table! I loved working on this post because I was able to use up some items that I've had in my craft stash. These adhesive foam hearts are from the dollar store and the straws? STILL left over from my wedding!

#cottonstakeontraversecity2k16 | Tandem Ciders

This is part five of a series. You can read the other parts here:

After Hop Lot Brewing Co. we hopped over to Tandem Ciders. Isn't this place the cutest?

The inside is small, but really cozy. I was ready for some refreshing cider, too, after that beer at Hop Lot. I got a pint of Smackintosh (along with almost everyone else). It. Was. Delicious.

We ended up getting a 4 pack to take home. I liked it even more because it came in cans.

Have you guys ever been to Tandem? If not, check out their site and time your visit around one of their fun, annual events

#cottonstakeontraversecity2k16 | Hop Lot Brewing Co.

This is part four of a series. You can read the other parts here:

While we were up north in and around Traverse City, we drove a little farther north to visit Brandon's new hometown of Suttons Bay. Mostly, I wanted to visit Hop Lot Brewing Co. I've heard that it was really cool, but I wasn't prepared for how wonderful this brewery was.

I loved the fact that they had a fire going outside, even though it was snowing.

I mean seriously, this place has gotta be super sweet in the Summer. Can you imagine!?

Beard and I got a flight and all of the beers were great!

I was able to snap a picture of their sign as we were pulling out of the parking lot - I love their logo.

Have any of you ever visited Hop Lot? I would love to hear you thoughts!

#cottonstakeontraversecity2k16 | Seven Monks Taproom

This is part three of a series. You can read the other parts here:

After Brewery Ferment we went to Seven Monks Taproom. We had heard good things about this place, but had never had the time to visit.

I love this picture that I snapped of Beard and Brandon on the corner.

They had a lot on tap. I forget what I ended up getting, but it was delicious... if that's helpful at all. ;)

Have you ever been to Seven Monks? What were your thoughts?

#cottonstakeontraversecity2k16 | Brewery Ferment

This is part two of a series. You can read the other parts here:

Once we finished lunch at Blue Tracker we walked down the street to Brewery Ferment. Beard and I went for the first time in June when we were in TC last year. You can read about that here!

I think I mentioned this last time, but I love that they have dart boards. A brewery with a dart board is kinda hard to come by, apparently.

Beard got his Traverse City Ale Trail map stamped. Isn't their hop stamp cool? I'm in love.

I'm glad we were able to come back here. There were quite a few beers I wanted to try last time, but wasn't able to get to all of them.

#cottonstakeontraversecity2k16 | Shanty Creek Resort + Shorts Brewing

This is part one of a series. You can read the other parts here:

Beard's company took employees and spouses to Shanty Creek Resorts this past weekend! We stayed the night at the resort on Friday night and spent the next day in Traverse City before heading home.

Friday night after dinner and a company update a group of us went to Short's Brewing. Of course, the snacks and the beer were delicious and it was great to be there with so many wonderful people.

The next day we were supposed to go snowmobiling, but there was hardly enough snow - so we ended up going into Traverse City to hang out. Our first stop was for lunch at Blue Tractor. Beard and I have been there once before, the weekend we got engaged. It was fun to go back 3 years later.

Stay tuned for the rest of the brew tours from this trip starting tomorrow!

Shalom,

M
