DIY // Glass Etched Water Jug

This is by far one of my favorite DIY's to date. And it's honestly one of the simplest things I've ever done.

What You Need:
Empty Wine Bottle
Contact Paper
Box Cutter / Silhouette Cameo

1. Start by cutting the design out of contact paper. I used my Cameo, but you can print on the contact paper and cut it out with a box cutter if you want.

2. Once you have your design cut out, carefully place it onto the bottle. Make sure all edges are sealed tight against the bottle so that the cream can't leak under the seal and mess up the lines.

3. Generously apply the etching cream and let sit for 10 minuets. Wash up with warm water and take off the contact paper.

And that's it! Isn't this project the cutest? I love the end result. This will be perfect for a Valentines day table.

DIY // Popsicle Stick Bracelets

I've been finding a lot of DIY projects on Pinterest lately, and this project is one of  first that caught my eye in recent months.

What you need:
Large Popsicle Sticks (I got mine at the dollarstore)
Rubber Bands
Small-ish Spay Can

I started by burning some designs into the sticks - triangles, plus signs, chevron...

Boil your sticks for about 20 minutes and pull them out one at a time, wrapping them around the can and securing them with a rubber band.

I let them dry for about 7 hours, but I wish I had let them sit over night! They weren't 100% dry, so they  warped a little.

Aren't they cute! I've been wearing them around a lot!

So what do you guys think? Do you think you'll be making these any time soon?

Gold Shell Necklace

I love all the seasons, but man, this Winter is really making me miss Summer. I love warm weather and being able to enjoy the sunshine in shorts and t-shirt. I also love collecting small things like shells and acorns so I can make them into one of a kind jewelry. Since I'm excited for Summer I decided to make a cute shell necklace.

You will need:
-Jewelry Bails
-Jewelry Wire
-Chain
-Sea Shells
-Liquid Gilding or Gold Spray Paint
-Jewelry Pliers
-Small Paintbrush

1. Start by gluing the bail into place on the back on the shell and let it dry completely.

2. Paint the shell. I used this but you can just as easily use spray paint. Let it dry and attach the chain!

Isn't this cute? I want to make a ton of them! They'll look awesome with a tank during the Summer. Do you guys think you'll be making something similar? I would love to see!

A Sunday Afternoon...

I love Sundays. Spending quiet time with the Lord, completing open projects, cleaning my home and enjoying the last day before the work week. Jordan and I went to the Blockbuster that's closing right up the street yesterday. I spent time putting them in open cases today.

My father sent me some of his pottery. Two of my favorite pieces broke during shipping, so I took a couple minutes today to glue them back together and put them on our bookshelf.

Aren't they gorgeous? I love the earthy tones he used... Reds, tans and dark blues. They're all lovely. I can't do much with the broken ones, so they'll sit on my shelf and look pretty.

I also took a couple pictures of one of my favorite things in our house: the bookshelves in our living room. This one was my favorite... I love everything about this side of our living room. The globe, the art, the books and the plants. I'm also loving the sunshine today. It's streaming through every

What do you guys do on Sunday?

Pins 2.2

Jordan and I live in a townhouse, which means we (or I...) can't decorate as much as we would like. There are quite a few things I would like to hang our paint that I can't. I try to work around that by doing home decor that will move with us when we leave and that doesn't damage the structure of the house too much. I pinned a lot of these types of projects, but 4 of my favorite are below.

Do you guys like any of these projects? I'm really loving the pallet table. Can't wait to try my own version.
